Madam has opened her new concept - Shared dining fusion - and is looking for new talent to strengthen the team!

Madam stands for memorable evenings with good food, beautiful views and a hospitable atmosphere. It is lively and vibrant, just like the city of Amsterdam itself. Both the kitchen and service teams are ready every day to provide guests with a beautiful memory. The atmosphere in the restaurant is warm and vibrant, and we strive to provide a positive experience for both guests and our staff. With shared dining, creative cocktails and lively music we create a place where people come together, share and enjoy.

As a Chef at Madam, you are responsible for managing the kitchen brigade and drawing up duty rosters, ensuring an efficient division of work. You monitor the culinary level and put together the menu. With your experience you inspire the team with creative ideas and constantly improve dishes and working methods.

You work closely with the Executive Chef and manage a team of 7 people. You also manage purchasing and stock and ensure a responsible flow of ingredients. You ensure compliance with safety and hygiene regulations (HACCP, Arbo) and create a safe, efficient working environment. Together with your team, you provide an unforgettable culinary experience for our guests every evening

  • Salary between € 3.500,- and €4.000,- gross per month on a full-time basis;

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Leading and inspiring the Madam team;

  • Developing menus that reflect the wishes of guests and the company;

  • Guaranteeing the highest quality in preparation and presentation of dishes;

  • Efficiently manage purchasing, inventory and costs;

  • Actively listen to feedback from guests and colleagues and implement improvements where necessary;

  • Training, guiding and motivating staff.

Is it you we're looking for? Are you someone who:

  • Has vision and can look ahead, with the ability to lift the team to the right level to achieve goals;

  • Has experience in a similar role;

  • Has extensive knowledge of culinary trends, techniques and international dishes;

  • Has strong communication skills and can deal with diverse personalities;

  • Has leadership experience and has led a team of at least 4 people;
