Bartender - MA'DAM by Night (Club)

Hi, I'm A'DAM. With views over the IJ, I overlook Amsterdam Central Station and the rest of the city. A vertical city where music is the common thread: venues, dining, hospitality, and workspaces, all under one roof. On the 20th floor, you'll find Madam: a restaurant, sky bar, and nightclub all in one. During the day, guests gather for lunch or dinner while enjoying panoramic views of Amsterdam. But as the evening progresses, the atmosphere transforms. Tables make way for the dance floor, the DJ turns up the volume, and Madam by Night takes over. Until the early hours, guests come here to dance, drink, and celebrate.

What you'll do
As a Bartender at Madam by Night, you'll be right at the heart of Amsterdam's nightlife. Every Friday and Saturday night, Madam transforms into a nightclub, and you'll help keep the drinks flowing. You'll pour beers, mix drinks, serve wine, and effortlessly connect with guests. At the same time, you'll keep the bar clean and organized, ensuring every order is prepared and served correctly.
While the DJ is playing and the dance floor is packed, you'll work closely with runners and fellow bartenders to keep the bar running smoothly. You can switch gears quickly, stay organized under pressure, and make sure guests never have to wait too long for their drinks, from the first order of the night to the last round.

What you'll bring
You thrive in a nightlife environment, are energetic, and enjoy rolling up your sleeves. You have experience working behind a bar, know how to make cocktails, and have a good knowledge of different beverages. You enjoy interacting with guests, work accurately, and stay calm when the bar gets busy.
You take initiative, see what needs to be done, and help your colleagues whenever needed. Since Madam by Night takes place on Friday and Saturday evenings, you are available to work on these nights and into the early hours of the morning.

The team
You'll become part of the Madam team, consisting of approximately 50 colleagues. During Madam by Night, you'll work alongside around 12 team members, including fellow bartenders, runners, duty managers, and the manager. Together, you'll ensure that every club night runs smoothly. The runners keep stock levels replenished and help maintain an organized bar, while you and your fellow bartenders make sure guests are always served quickly and professionally. This way, you keep the bar running efficiently, even when the dance floor is at its busiest.
