Hoofd technicus
Hi, I’m A'DAM. Overlooking the IJ, I stand above Amsterdam Central Station and the rest of the city. A vertical city with music at its core: live venues, food, hospitality, workspaces, and experiences, all under one roof. Behind every show that takes place in my tower is a technician making sure the lights are right and the sound is perfect. From Madam to The Loft and Shelter, I’m looking for someone who can independently manage the technical side of all these venues.
What You'll Do
You will operate lighting and sound services and coordinate the setup and breakdown of public events. In this role, you are the primary point of contact for DKB and the technical staff within your team. You will manage and maintain technical equipment, process technical riders, and prepare DJ technical plans for public event weekends.
For events, you will arrange the rental of additional equipment when needed and coordinate its deployment, while also designing the accompanying lighting and sound concepts. In addition, you will continuously work on improving and further developing the in-house technical installations. When something goes wrong, whether technically or between people, you are the one who solves it. You will also act as the main point of contact for promoters, booking agencies, and artist management.
What You Bring
You have at least 4 years of experience as a technician in the live entertainment or events industry and feel at home in environments where music and performances come together. You have strong technical knowledge of both lighting and sound and can maintain oversight, even when multiple things are happening at once. You communicate easily with freelancers, artists, and external partners, and you are confident taking the lead when required.
The Team
You will be right in the middle of the action, from intimate release events in The 360 to sold-out nights in Shelter. This is a largely independent role where you will work alongside a small team of technical staff and freelancers, expanding the team when necessary. You are the person responsible for both planning the technical strategy and executing it yourself. You will also work closely with the programming and operational teams across the tower, because without strong coordination, there is no successful show.
What We Offer
A salary based on a full-time employment contract (40 hours) between €3.715,82 and €4.550 gross per month.

Access to a bike leasing scheme through Helloride.
Access to a fitness membership through Urban Sports Club.
Discounts at our own restaurants and bars, plus access to the Shelter guest list.
